If you are really really really interested search Paladin Security Group and go from there. It's contract but it will get you started.

Your post fails. You must have worked contract somewhere and not in-house.

Indeed, not all Hospital Security sucks.

Never worked it, but we have nothing but Group 4 here doing it. They are worse than some of the EDP patients we have.

Only in house security for hospitals is in the down town core.

I have lots of experience in hospitals, although I worked in the clerical aspect of things rather than security, however during my time in the hospitals I would have to say one thing remains constant, usually the in house guards are very good and contract are not quite as good. Some hospitals pay their security staff upwards of 20 bucks an hour with full benefits (Hamilton is around 23 and I believe London is around 25, but don't quote me on that), so naturally they attract a higher calibre personnel than contract companies.

I hear ya... Unfortunatly I do work for Group 4.... But don't be spreading that around or else :sniper: :pistols: :cuss: . I hate the fact that I work for them and when anyone asks I just tell them that I'm a hospital security guard with [blank] hospital. Its interesting, and I'm still not 100% sure why we are still contract, because we have nothing to do with group 4 other than the fact that we wear their patch. Pay is from the hospital, all equipment and training from the hospital and we don't even wear the same uniforms... And the other site(s) have contract guards....

Been in security for nearly 10 years and I can deffinately say hospital v. condo, hospital wins.

Group 4 does suck for contract security. They just do not treat their S/O's well at all.

Security Sucks period...

The only cool security Job is Private Security Contractor overseas...

the one where they give you the big guns and pay you 100k a year....

and even then it still sucks... I have no interest in being a Merc for hire....

If i had to leave the forces to get more work experiance for the Police it would be to get into a sales job, or something working with people... and I'd stay as far away from security as possible.....

The only benefits I could see with Hospital security is that the pay is better.....

Still not a compelling argument for me to deal with some HIV patient, or a crazy guy when all I have is a Cell phone and my wits....

Speak for yourself dude, I think about going back to PMC everyday. I wouldn't really consider working for a contract company Merc work though.
