Typical Canada...even Uzbekistan is ahead of us. We always wait until the last week to do anything it seems.

I'm not paying attention. By the way who were the idiots that decided a country with a smog problem, human rights problems, and internal strife, would be a great place to hold the Olympics.

Called bribery or cash incentive to the Olympic Comittee, whichever you choose. I am not watching either due to what is stated above, between their environment and human rights practices should have no business being held there and I hope it is a flop because of it.

Hey Austrailia.
I was about to post that this canadian was going to come down there and kick you in your snagger........then I actually looked at the link you included.

Field hockey? Specifically MENS field hockey. I mean if you want to be all proud of that I say go ahead. Be loud and proud. I'm just surprised they aren't all wearing skirts.

G'day Paul, each to their own and sport is sport and we are good at whatever we play, skirts or no skirts. :)

When the games are over, come on down mate and bring your rugby team with you.

Winning medals for Canada is nice but I am happy and proud just to see a Canadian or a Canadian team representing us.

Mate, they are there to win medals, preferably Gold; that is what it is all about and anything less is a disappointment, no matter what spin is put on it. :boxer: :swords:

Anyway, you should be very proud of this team event, I watched it and the Canadian's were out front right from the very start.

Not bad for Australia though, its total population is less than than some North American or European cities and yet we are third ranking on the total medal tally - what do you reckon our secret is? :D
