Congrats to the next group! Just wondering if anybody has any idea when the next set of invites will be? Also curious if the most recent graduates reported if the port selection process had changed?
To my knowledge, it appears that this recent group that is currently in Rigaud found out prior to going.
Yes, I can confirm that we did know our port selection prior to attending Rigaud however I do not know if this will continue in a non-COVID era. For me to say one way or the other would be pure speculation. What I can say is most people I've talked to did not get their first or even second choice when it came to port selection. However, everyone was fully aware this was what they signed up for and my fellow recruits seem beyond excited to start their new careers (and get out of quarantine :twitch: )

Also, I have found since being in Rigaud that I have one of the shortest timelines when it comes to the application process. It seems that the standard has been 3-6 years. I do regret leaning so heavily upon Blueline Forums and setting my expectations on random speculation from other applicants who post on here. I would like to warn people about taking advice on this forum unless it is from a credible source (such as Zedlinka or another credentialed LEO). Not to say that this is forum does not have some good information and facts on it, but do not be sucked in by uninformed opinion.

I wish everyone best of luck in their applications!
Thanks for sharing and good luck and success in the new career !

Hey there everyone, I just had a general question in regards to redoing my psychological evaluation (MMPI) since it will expire in April 2021. For anyone that has already needed to renew this testing did they contact you before it expired to schedule a new test date or does it need to be retested once the first one expires? I have already sent them an email to advise them that it will expire in April 2021 and that I am waiting to hear back from them for the next steps and they just answered that they will do their best to schedule me as soon as they can. I know that most places are starting to open back up so for anyone that has had to renew it in the last year how long is the normal wait time to receive a new testing date?

Thank you!

They will likely let it lapse and get you to redo the MMPI. They sent me a consent form 3 months before in expired but this was shortly after covid hit. After it expired I waited another 5 months to get a redo date. I know someone else still waiting after expiry in Jan. In addition this depends where you're situtated and what the availability is with a local pyschologist. So to answer your question, really slow.

Hi hsinom, I appreciate the insight, when you had to renew your MMPI in March 2021 did you need to redo the testing and meet with the psychologist again, or are the test results still valid and you just need to be reassessed by a psychologist?

Thank you.

You do the full 2 parts again - exactly like the first time.

That's what I had assumed but not what I was hoping for haha. When you did the 2 parts again was it in person or virtually?

This may vary based on your location. In my case the written was in person and the interview portion was done virtually

I used my family doctor but I believe you can go to a recognized Health Canada doctor in your area.
