I am currently in the final review stage of the aux process. Any idea when training will start up again? It would be greatly appreciated if I could get some info on when everyone applied here and how fast they got through certain stages.

I heard from the Aux. Program office today -- the training dates remaining in 2021 are tentatively set for July and November. They are working hard to firm up the schedule - made difficult by the pandemic-related challenges we are all up against. They will be reaching out to the recruits as soon as they have more data.

I would think they would prioritize the backlog -- for those (like me) that risk our test results falling further out of date, given more delays. I was originally scheduled for the April 2020 training. They may have other factors used for prioritizations though.

Good news to hear things are moving ahead again . I haven’t heard anything from anyone yet. My first aid expired maybe that’s why but I’m taking it at the end of the month now and let them know. Hopefully I don’t have to take my psych test again....

Did anyone hear if auxiliaries are allowed on ride alongs again now? I think that was halted with the pandemic going on.

Just received an email to retake my Psych test online on June 10th. Anyone did one online before? Wondering how this works...

Just got the email regarding the psych test. Anyone have any information about how this works online? I remember the psych being lengthy in person. Any info is appreciated.

The only psych test I had to redo (due to previous results expiring) from home was the CD RISC one- which was just a single page that just had to be returned via email/pdf. If you are talking about a *full* online test (MMPI-2-RF & 16PF), then that is new territory for me. I had to redo those two at the Eastern HQ earlier this year.

To everyone receiving the psych emails - be prepared to sit for about 3.5 hours on your computer. Get water, pencil, paper and even a snack.

I did an online Psych with HPS and it worked the same as in-person except it was proctored. You're recorded the entire time.

It's the same test but with an added pre test... not sure why they do it.
In person they had that pre test that was pretty much impossible to finish in half a hour. I had a Constable looking over my shoulder most the time as well. Then I received the psych test with like 300 questions. I think the first one must be to see how you react under stress.

I guess I’ll have to get the suit and tie back out if it’s recorded.

Mhm you have to nail it fast. That pretest is now sent to you prior and you complete it on your own.
That’s interesting, I was not able to finish most of it but still passed it somehow.... Well if I have more than a half hour I might be good to finish it this time around lol.

Hi,
As the above stated about the psych coming up, without giving out much information, is the pre test a questionnaire regarding psych type questions?

Just received confirmation of my placement in the upcoming July class..

It's been a long time coming-- almost 5 years since my initial application.
It just shows --- if you want something, just stay focused on it, and keep on self-improving.

I look forward to meeting a lot of you in the class next month.. :-)

Welp, received my medical package today then I'm told pending that I'll be shipped of to the next training class.
Been one heck of a process but worth the wait.
Is the medical something you have to redo since it expired as well? I just finished my psych test online yesterday. Took 2.5 hrs, seemed shorter than the one in person I did last year for some reason.

Unfortunately for me yes. They allowed everything to expire.
I’m assuming I’m in the same boat as you then…. Oh well, I’m sure it will pay off.
