Have either of you heard anything either way yet?

Finished my NEO December 8th. Got an offer last Tuesday (April 20th).

Every applicant is different, but from what I’ve been told most are looking at between 8-11 months from start of the application to offer of employment.
Congrats! When does your training begin?

Thank you!

The next class starts June 7th, 4 weeks online/ 4 weeks in person.

Good luck in the process!

Just curious, would it be easy to get 40 hours+ starting at Toronto East?

There is no CO3 classification as of this moment, its an outdated pay schedule.
Oh wow. I believe that the bargaining agreement was initiated in 2017, finalized and published in 2020. How long has CO3 been an artifact and what happened to those who held CO3 positions? I assume the pay schedule posted in the official Bargaining Agreement is still relevant?

Someone more senior than me may correct me but I am thinking 10+ years at least if not more. I actually have no idea but what they have probably done is merged the CO2 and CO3 positions. The pay schedule is relevant its brand new its just the CO3 position is outdated as the classification does not exist.

Federally CO3 is sergeant so it may also mean something similar in provincial

Hi everyone,

Would anyone happen to know what would be considered a competitive score on the Wonderlic test?

Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same boat as you right now. Finished my neo in mid-March. Did anyone receive an offer lately?

Nope, nothing yet. What's your timeline like?
I have not heard anything either. My first choice was Hamilton and my second was Niagara. I wonder if choices have anything to do with who gets a call and when? I hear no news is good news, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

FITCO - November 2020

Not true.

Federally, CO3 (CX3) is the trainer (for new recruits or refresh training for current serving member). A CO4/CX4 is indeed in a supervisory position which is called correctional manager or "keeper".

Talking about Ontario provincial: Officially, an Ontario provincial correctional Sergeant is not classified as a CO. While CO1, CO2 and CO3 are classified as correctional officers. CO3 and Sergeant are two different positions.

But you are right if you are talking about MB or AB correction. Their CO3 and CPO3 possess supervisory/sergeant roles.
My opinions expressed here are solely my personal opinions and do not represent the Correctional Service of Canada or any other Government of Canada agencies.

Lol... there hasn't been CO3's (Corporals) since... Hell, IIRC the early to mid 1980s

They went back to being CO2s.
Corporals where sort of pseudo managers/supervisors... They were supervisors, but still in the union so... '.
I know a few guys... Very few as most are long retired who for whatever reason(s) quit or stepped down from their corporals position due to the BS it involved.
These days it's all ****d up.
You can walk in the door and become a sgt. in no more time than it takes for a uniform order to be processed and delivered. Hell... I've seen people go from casual to sgt.
I've got boots older than some of the sgt's wandering the halls...
A corporal was a senior CO with experience and the respect of their peers. There wasn't a diversity hire amoung them.
Admit nothing.
Deny everything.
Make counter accusations...

How long does it take before you can go full time ? Do OT hours count as time in?
