Ontario Correctional Services
Re: Ontario Correctional Services
Has anyone received the testing email for the recent posting? I got the email saying I’ll receive another email to complete testing within 24 hours and haven’t got it.
Re: Ontario Correctional Services
My friend received his testing link today I believe he said.
Let me know how the testing goes for you. I am curious what has changed in the recruitment process.
Good luck.

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
Your standard shifts will be 7am to 7pm and 9am to 9pm as well as 7pm to 7am (night tour). There are a variety of other shifts which are overtime or accommodations. Hope this helps.Nicelipsweater wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 7:19 pmDoes anyone know the shift schedule and or start times at TEDC?

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
Hi guys,
Besides TSDC, which provincial jails are currently offering weekly 40h in Ontario?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
TEDC just received a batch of 11 recruits that are currently shadowing and are going to be receiving another batch of 18 next month. As a result, new recruits are going to be scheduled for 24 hrs (2 shifts per week). This is what the previous poster meant when they said things "could change at anytime."

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
When you say the new recruits will be getting a scheduled 24 hours a week is that all fixed term or is it just the new batch of recruits do you happen to know?BlueHeart83 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 1:36 pmTEDC just received a batch of 11 recruits that are currently shadowing and are going to be receiving another batch of 18 next month. Re: Ontario Correctional Services
Are all new recruits being switched to part time? Including the ones that have already been hired and currently working as temp for a few months? Has this happened in the past? Why the change?
Re: Ontario Correctional Services
All recruits are hired as fixed term contract and no hours are guaranteed , it is in the contract you sign when you are hired. Up to now there had been 40 hrs given but things are changing depending where you are at I am sure.
