Ontario Correctional Services

Thanks Bitterman.Bitterman wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 9:58 pmThere are always a few around just like Font'..
Doesn't matter what... They're never going to be happy in corrections, they complain about how awful it is... Yet for some reason they never leave.
I knew a few... 'Most stayed because they had no other viable option to make a living.
Most also never really worked anywhere else... 'Had no idea what working for a living was REALLY like LoL
That was nice of you to say

Awake NOT woke

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
I have some questions that I would like to ask, this is for someone who is either currently going through the process or has already been hired within the past couple years. If someone could reply that would be awesome

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
To any current CO’s here
I have been hearing rumours that the DM ELLIS is making OFFICER’s that go on PTSD or WSIB by making them signing a NDA NOT to speak of this.
I believe this is UNTRUE, but, when this government including ELLIS thinks they are above the LAW, I wouldn’t put it past them as their disgusting track record including BAD FAITH bargaining.
Any one ?

Re: Ontario Correctional Services
I am currently in the recruitment process and have done every assessment except for the NEO-PI-3 personality test which I have now finally been provided the link for. It has also recently come to my attention that completing every assessment does not guarantee you a job in the end since a final decision has to be made after a review of all assessment results even after having come this far. Has anyone here completed all the assessments only to be eliminated from the competition at the end before? This was such a long process, I had applied in September last year and it would be crushing to be eliminated after all this. I thought I progressed in the recruitment process due to having sufficient results in each assessment, or do we progress simply after having completed each step? I assume they will need to compare me to other candidates, which makes sense.
Re: Ontario Correctional Services
Does anyone know when the evaluation process will start for the latest posting that just closed? Thanks!

I was having issues with my email last week and I emailed them and they said they are still screening and will be reaching out to people in the near future.

I wrote my REACT on December 15th and I just got an offer. I submitted my security clearance at the end of February and it was completed on April 13th. I am to report to my institution on June 27th. They invest their time into new recruits and often if you have made it through each step, you will receive an offer. Just remain patient and trust the process.

I have a very similar timeline as you. Received my offer last week as well. Congrats to you. Which location are you starting in June?Rookie0905 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 8:10 amRetroQuester wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:47 pmI am currently in the recruitment process and have done every assessment except for the NEO-PI-3 personality test which I have now finally been provided the link for. Re: Ontario Correctional Services
My friend got an email for the posting from April 2023
I was hoping to help him through the process but looks like the testing changed .
Effective May 2023, the Ontario Correctional Officer recruitment process features a new aptitude assessment delivered by TalentClick Inc. All previous results on the Wonderlic Cognitive Abilities test, REACT behavioural assessment and/or the NEO-PI-3 will no longer be valid in any future competition.
Anyone have ideas what the new testing will be ?
