I find this pretty ridiculous, where are we supposed to get printed t shirts printed this exact way. I feel like they should at least compensate for the items since we will have to purchase them. Im going to show up with a white t shirt with my last name written in sharpie, cheapest place I could find is $30 per shirt + shipping.

A lot of things may not make sense to some people, but if you want the job, unfortunately that is the way they are doing it.

Good luck.

Hey question for those currently in online training, from what I’ve read on the email the course materials are done at a self pace with no set times and are completed through mohawk college online portal or will there be a set time throughout the week with an instructor on webcam?

Great question Ricky,

I was also curious if we had to do the online portion from 9a-4pm or if we could do some of the work after 4pm online. I understand there will be listed modules with instructors on webcams. Is this for the majority of quizzes or tests? Also if we are required to turn on our webcams do they require us to also have audio/microphone?

Thanks for any answers from anybody whom is or completed the online portion.

For the people currently doing the in person portion of training did you choose the accommodation option (staying at the college)? Or commuting?

If you’re able to drive than drive save yourself $1000.
Plus with covid the college has a lot of restrictions and you’re basically confined to your room. I am here now staying as I live far

Are you allowed to leave whenever, like to go walk around outside or something?

Yes, You can leave the building but must sign out and sign back in with covid screening protocols.
The gym gathering areas in the campus are closed.
So after class either go to your room or go outside

Are you doing your training at mohawk college or at the training center on beach boulevard ?

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the average hours that are being worked in Hamilton or Niagara for CO1, Is it fairly regular 40 plus per week. My first selection is Niagara, Second is Hamilton however I’ve been told by a retired CO that worked at both facilities that Hamilton is a much better place to go for a new CO.

Doesn't matter, both suck.

Anyone else completed the NEO and is now hoping for a call with an offer?

I suspect the next training intake is roughly 3 months from now.

I'm in the same boat as you right now. Finished my neo in mid-March. Did anyone receive an offer lately?

I was wondering if the Security Clearance process is quicker if you've been previously cleared when applying for or hired as a police constable, CBSA, or other law enforcement category. Can your security clearance file be used between multiple agencies to streamline the clearance process, or does every agency have to start the process from scratch?

I don't think so, previously I had a security clearance, and hadn't expired yet, still took around 3 months.
