Hey everyone, did my interview early in Feb and mailed my VSC last week. Was wondering if anyone was on a similar timeline?
I am similar to you. I interviewed at the end of February. VSC mailed. As of now I have not received the NEO test or heard anything.
If you do hear anything it would be great if you could do an update. Good luck!

I have a question about the fitco beep test..
The link I was sent with the audio to practise the beep test starts at level 0.. level 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and so on until you reach level 1..
But watching many YouTube videos, they all seem to start at level 1.. which one is correct?

The test started at 0 and went to 4.5

So technically same as 1 to 5.5

Good luck

Anyone receive any offers of employment recently?
Yes I received my offer last week
Our timelines are similar I'm slightly later than you. I have yet to hear, keeping my fingers crossed. What were your top 3?
My top were maplehurst Brampton detention centre and vanier. They offered me Toronto east and south as well but I went with my top pick. Maplehurst

Just got the call! Training starts April 26. They gave me a choice between Toronto South and Maplehurst. I have a few days to decide which one I want to pick. Any advice??? My number 1 was Brampton but was told that it's closed and they don't plan on hiring for OCI in the near future.

Congrats. Maple hurst is a good choice I’ve heard.
My training online starts March 15.

Does anyone know if we need a laptop/pc while at COTA?

Yes you are going to need your laptop for all 8 weeks, for the online and in person training.

I've read that new casual hires are getting an average of 179 hours per month at the TSDC, which is great. I was wondering how long does it take to go from a casual to an official full-time staff member; is there a probation period such as number of hours worked?

Are correctional staff with regular full work schedules put on rotating shifts like in policing (4 days daytime shift; 4 days off; 4 days night shift) and 911 operators (3 days on; 3 days off)?

I recently finished the interview and submitted my police clearance, and have my fitness in approx 1 week.

Also best of luck to everyone. I look forward to working with some of you, helping and protecting inmates and each other.
