I also put Beaver Creek as my first choice and was offered ( and accepted) it, so it's definitely possible!

I am just starting training in May. Muskoka is nice but housing is tough to find at a decent price point
That's definitely what I wanna here. How long ago was that? How is it up there?
I just started ctp1 a week ago. I was told at my interview that I would likely be on the ctp3 in sept. If I passed. I heard about the May course and I'm hoping that because everything else is done. I might be able to sneak in on it. But I have been looking in the gravenhurst area just incase I do get in. I've noticed lots of land up there sale. Some of it not terribly priced. But anything in town is a bit up there.

I applied in April of last year and did my SJT in July. I finally got an interview January 11. During my interview I was told I would be doing my online work hopefully by the summer and then be on course in September. I finished my CTP-1 March 1st and had my psych evaluation March 2nd and that was the last part to complete. I was hoping for May as well, but it looks like I might be going away hopefully in September. I only applied for Gravenhurst also. During the interview they did say if I were to consider Max in Millhaven the odds of me getting on course sooner are better but regardless they still need COs up in Gravenhurst so fingers crossed.

Well I believe you still have your security clearance assessment/interview still ongoing.

I believe you still have your security clearance assessments ongoing and an interview may follow next after that depending on the outcome of your security assessment.

Correct they do, but there is always a large amount of Ontario Officers out west that should be getting those spots before recruits. If you live in Ontario and they offer you a Ontario joint, my suggestion is take it. Even if its not the one you want.

Exactly! I'm in Ontario and applied 3 years ago but only listed one location as my preference. I was offered a different one and jumped on it. Who knows when the next Ontario spot could open up.

I was wondering the same thing, I completed everything and did my security interview back in November and I haven’t heard anything since. Should I email? Or would they contact me if I’m no longer in the process? When do you usually hear something back?

You can also check the status of your applications on the GC job board website. Mine continued to say Included in Inventory. Once my COL was sent out it changed to retained.

Interesting. Mine has changed to ‘Retained’ but no SOI or anything yet.
