13 months! beauty. It’s what’s the process should take. Well done 👍🏼

I should move to BC from QC. They seem to be hiring faster. I’m at 41 months now and still no end in sight. It’s disheartening.

Here’s the dealio my friend.
Fellow CX turned RM here.
Hey there, out of curiosity... do you know anything about allowance over Depot being influenced by being a CX? I've heard different things, that no, you get allowance and that's it, that you can get a Leave with pay for educational purposes but it must be authorized at warden's discretion, and finally that the RCMP can/will cover your salary. I'm not expecting anything beyond allowance, but just curious as it's been a topic of debate around here. Forgive me if this has been answered before but CSC and CX are not valid search terms here so it makes it hard to search.
Rcmp will not cover our salary while we are there. If your institution allows you to use your paid leave for however long until it runs out (then go to lwop) you cannot collect the allowance. You must notify depot that you are still on paid leave and inform them of when that will run out. You can not be paid by two federal organizations at the same time. There is the one time special leave, both one year and 3 months, accessible in our collective agreement and I haven't seen any change to that in the ratified agreement. In order to carry your current rate of pay over, you cannot have a break in service (so any combination of unpaid and paid leave has to last the duration of training until you are fully signed on - grad). Our cmsd is well versed in all of this so he has the conversation with how you want to take leave in order to ensure you don't have the break, and will provide the letter.
Sorry for the delayed response. Would you mind sending me a message to put me in touch with that CMSD, in case mine gets stuck? Trying to get the paperwork in order before Depot in March. Thanks!

I wrote out a reply to the fed guys trying to jump over to the RCMP… I am on my phone and tried to hit reply to a post, but I reported it in error. Sorry to whoever that was.

To whichever mod gets that report, sorry for the wast of time. Can you please copy what I wrote and plop it in here?

Thanks

Sorry, I saw the report, but it looked like it was being reported by a bot, so I trashed it.

This is the 2nd such report that have seen that I deleted because of it looking like a bot.

However, you STILL owe me a bump at the Mess over this.

If I recall correctly, you told them: Reach for that rainbow, smell the flowers, and be glittery - yes?!

Next time you’re in beautiful V Div, I’d be happy to get you a double!

I’m going to bullet point it now. I had nice sentences/paragraphs written, but apparently the RCMP trains us to write like bots. Hashtag LOL.

Fed employees joining RCMP:

- Bring proof of employment and proof of current salary to depot. You’ll write a business case near the end to have RCMP match your salary (without going down);
- Bring a detailed document outlining your dates (start of fed employment and full/part time). This can be a letter from a management person;
- Your time of service in the federal public service may be counted in terms of the rate that you earn leave. This will take years to actually show up as a benefit and is dependent on the pension centre;
- Go to depot on some sort of leave. Do not resign before going to depot (if you quit before depot, the above may not apply to you);
- This is all in policy. You can find it yourself when you get to depot.

Hello everyone,

I received an email stating my file is at "final signature review"

I have not received any information regarding passing medical/psych/security

I did notice the screening portal no longer shows a pending security application

Does anyone know what final signature review means?
I received this email as well on Jan 13th 2022. It also told me final documents are coming to be signed.
However, I got email again saying to do in person Psyc interview......
I guess my application is in a whirlpool now.

I got security clearance a few days after that email.

It's an email from dss explaining where you are in their internal process.

You'll likely get security before medical at this rate. Keep your head up!
