Anyone know if we start work right after the training and if we have to pass it? I emailed them on Thursday and haven't heard back. and anyone training in BC?
Not training in BC but yes, I believe you would have to pass it because were on a conditional offer right now, getting an actual offer would depend on if you pass the training or not.

hope this helps.
Ah i see that makes sense, for some reason I thought it was conditional on our medical/security background check, but thank you!

Fyi to anyone picking up your uniform/training binders, if you have a car, dive. Don't try taking it on the GO Train like I did. One of the binders is larger than a phone book.
What did you get as part of the uniform and did they give you the boots or do you need to buy your own?

for me they sent an email saying you have a spending limit of what they'll cover, and you have to go pick them up from one of 3 the stores they told us

Congrats to everyone!

I was just wondering when we're going for the meeting with the manager should we dress casually or would business attire be more appropriate?

So I did receive an offer, but it was back in mid March. I missed the voicemail because I thought they would email me :dropjaw: I'm still eligible for next year, I won't be making the same mistake again!

Thats odd that they sent you a voicemail instead of a email.

Hey guys!

I hope everyone's training is going well, I was just wondering if there's anything I should do to prepare for CDT? I am not that fit since corona, so I was wondering what I should do to prepare beforehand.

Although RIGUAD isn't known for being overly physical compared to DEPOT per say, a good bench mark to aim for in the law enforcement community is 2.4k or a 1.5 miles in 12 minutes or less, and 5k in 30 mins.

If you can obtain those goals before training starts you'll be in a good place. The PARE is no joke, as you know going through the application process, and it only steps up from there. The PARE as hard as it is, I would also argue is one of the easier tests in comparison to many municipal LEO departments.

The 1.5M run/PARE test is included in the CDT test? I thought that was only for actual BSO's and not student positions.
