Got a phone call and email about the training today, starts May 4th and CDT joining will be sent later.
Did you get any updates on your work hours? If you're getting part time I don't think I'm getting a position this summer.

EDIT: I believe I interviewed for the YVR position.
I did YVR too, when they first told me about my conditional offer they said 1 day guaranteed and maybe 1 other day and haven't said anything else since, I was going to ask I'm assuming its the same? It depends on covid, covids why hours are so low

What are peoples motivations or reasons as to why they wanted to be an sbso? :)
It's your only chance to do something like this, especially if you don't plan on going into law enforcement after.
Like me, I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Education to become a teacher.

I want the SBSO position to get more experience dealing with difficult people and uncomfortable situations. I'm hoping the experience will help me stand out when I interview for teaching jobs.
That's awesome :) and very true. See i am in school to get a degree in socio and then was thinking about pursuing law. So i'm very conflicted because of lack of hours/pay/having to move to do it this year but it is great experience and opportunity.

Its nice and worrying at the same time seeing many of us here getting the job offers. I have my CATIII at end of this month.

Hi there, I completed the OTEE on Jan 17th. Just wondering if anyone has heard back yet? I applied to Ontario.

Thanks
Not much as of yet, Not sure if the provincial lockdown is going to slow things down. But I guess just more waiting on our ends.

Not training in BC but yes, I believe you would have to pass it because were on a conditional offer right now, getting an actual offer would depend on if you pass the training or not.

hope this helps.

Fyi to anyone picking up your uniform/training binders, if you have a car, dive. Don't try taking it on the GO Train like I did. One of the binders is larger than a phone book.
