RCMP Deductions/Taxable benefits and earnings
RCMP Deductions/Taxable benefits and earnings
Hi all! My husband is a (new) RCMP officer and I was hoping that maybe some of you could help us out with some questions. We've tried getting answers from the RCMP but so far haven't been able to get any.
Is there a way to find out what all the codes on his paycheck mean? We're getting deductions for "SF-LPR" and have no clue what it is.
We're located in BC and I noticed that $58 for MSPBC shows up three times on his paycheck - once on the earnings side and twice on the deductions. So it appears we're paying $58 for MSP but since they've added it as earnings, we're also paying tax on it which doesn't make any sense.
Also, I've heard of a lot of people talk about getting 'kit upkeep'. Is this only in certain detachments? He's not currently getting it so wondering if it's cause we're not entitled, or if it's a payroll issue.
Thanks!!

All the codes are listed on the Infoweb at work, under the pay policy.
He gets Kit Up keep after either 6 months or a year, it's like $4 a pay..
Not to sound like a jerk, but his trainer or pay and compensation can answer these questions.
