I've had that experience too. Must be something they learn at dog school.

Had a dog man come on the radio and say he was on-scene one time when we were taking down a loon with a rifle. He was 40 minutes away.

Maybe the Dog Years thing works with ETAs as well? :ponder:

I thought he meant telling your suspect that the dog was here when in fact he wasn't, thus obtaining voluntary compliance. Unless I missed your sarcasm :ponder:

This reminds me of an episode of COPS from ages ago... An Officer is involved in a foot chase, as he's running he yells out "STOP OR I'LL RELEASE THE DOG"... and then the Officer starts barking... LOL... Buddy hit the ground so fast and started begging not to be bitten!
