Avoid criminology. Do something that isn't law enforcement related so you have a back up option.

Recruiters don't care what your degree is

I wouldn't say, 'avoid criminology'. But I would say to do whatever you're passionate about.

It doesn't matter the program. I have a degree in marketing and a diploma in golf club management. I got through the RCMP application on my first attempt. Our training academy will teach you what you need to know about policing (and we pay for the RCMP training, while paying you a training allowance each of the 26 weeks).

For the RCMP, you need at least a Grade 12 diploma. You say you have college. That looks good. Why take the time and money to add more education if you don't need it to do the job?

I see that but what makes or breaks your application is passing the interviews and background check

the best degree for LE is either accounting or computer science
