Hey Guys,
I did my LFA May 31st. Haven't heard back either...kinda nerve wrecking.
Do they let us know either way (fail or pass?)

Thanks!
No news is good news.

Good luck.

Re: Cleaning up my life : need honest opinions

Update time? Reading back on this thread was mostly cringe for me but it was nice to see the positive and honest responses. My grammar is better now thankfully😂 2008 was a long time ago but I thought I should come back and give some hope for anyone in a similar situation. Long story short, don't gi...

Re: OPP Auxiliary

Just received confirmation of my placement in the upcoming July class.. It's been a long time coming-- almost 5 years since my initial application. It just shows --- if you want something, just stay focused on it, and keep on self-improving. I look forward to meeting a lot of you in the class next ...

Re: Ontario Correctional Services

Why do so many people in this forum say corrections isn't a good stepping stone for employment in LE? There are so many people on this very forum that started as COs and are now working as police officers, special constables, and CBSA. Why would experience in corrections not be looked upon favorabl...

Re: Legislative Protective Service - Security Officer Position. (Downtown Toronto - Queens Park)

For that money and those hours in Toronto and not even the armed position?? No thanks. Can always apply for armed position through internal if you are already in the service. The math works out to be approx starting $33/hr as a security officer and lots of overtime. But if location is far for you, ...

Re: [CANADA] High Demand Auxiliary Constable Location?

I am currently a member of the auxiliary unit and it does help the chances of becoming a police officer, however it does NOT guarantee you a position. You still have to go through the same process as any regular applicant. There are NO exemptions as an auxiliary. Auxiliary helps in the aspect of rel...

Hello,
I applied earlier this year, but never heard back from them. Are they on hiring freeze?

Thanks in advance
They just finished a class already and currently working the process with the auxiliary unit. Things are moving slow, just be patient. :D

Good luck.

Re: Feeling completely lost **WARNING LONG POST**

Maybe take a few courses, apply for an auxiliary police unit, volunteer. Those will help with expanding your skills and network.

I wish you the best of luck.

@fonthill, I was a deputy superintendent at my home country, relocated here a decade ago and unfortunately I will be starting from a very low level now. My point is that fitness isn't the issue, some of us are more fit than some now. This body carried three kids and I worry I may not be as fit whic...
