Congrats JR15 for getting your PBQ/LFI invite. Would you mind telling me your background? (educational/volunteering experience)

Thanks
Thanks, I completed a 4 year Ba with honors at York U, and did some volunteering with the school for 3 years. I also have dedicated a year at a local food bank, and just recently went back to volunteer again.

So in the email for the pre-interview package asking about references, what do you do when you've been running your own company for last 5 years? I put employees? Former employees? Or do I go back farther in time?

Same thing for education, last degree I completed in 2010...

Suggestions or should I just email them my questions?

What part of the process is this? It isnt the PBQ is it?

I graduated college in 2004... I really showed all of the continuing education I've been doing since then.... workshops, Smart Serve, First Aid, ASIST... CKPN has some great free courses to look at as well.

This is just the beginning... PBQ does look at your employment, but digs a bit deeper in other facets and is usually closer to your LFI.

Uniform recruitment is great to answer any questions. Best of luck!

Hey, I'm specifically asking about the 9 references they want me to give (3 work, 3 education and 3 personal). They want them to be within the last 5 years. I've done a ton of workshops and seminars in the last ten years but usually these are 30 or 45 hour courses. You don't exchange numbers with classmates or with the person giving the lecture, so while these were valuable and went into my application, they didn't produce any substantial reference for me to refer them to.

I did email them in regards to my questions, as soon as they respond, I'll see if I can clarify.

If you look at the Pre Interview Instructions it talks about school references. That should help answer your question.

Ive carefully read the instructions, its just that I own and operate my own company for the last 5 years so it is a bit different from most people's situation. If I am to keep the 9 references within last 5 years, I have employees... clients... I don't have co-workers or supervisors or a boss. So it's difficult to follow the instructions when I do not have references relevant to "within 5 years" or anything they would consider (boss/supervisor) that would substitute for school references.

Still waiting on OPP's response.

Hello Folks,
Just have a question here. I applied to OPP on March 31, 2020 and i got my file number on April 8, 2020 and the invitation for LFI i received on April 20 which contains the personal history forum and the willing to serve form. But i still did not get my interview date or the PBQ. Do I have to send the completed personal history and willing to serve form to get the PBQ.

Does anybody else in this forum have the same challenge.

Doesn’t the e-mail say that they will call to schedule the interview?

You don't have to send anything in unless they specifically ask for it.

No you don’t have send anything in. I had my invitation yesterday and my date sent for the interview today. I’m sure you’ll hear very soon. I’m sure it depends on region.

Hi all,
Just completed my psych evaluation and was told that after my papers go through ( through mailing) that there will be a follow up interview. Is this normal?
