I've applied mid January and it's been about a month since I submitted my PHF. Haven't heard anything back. Congrats Wingman!

Well, that's not true.
The staff sergeant that watched us do the shuttle run told us we will be informed if we're moving or not via email or phone call (the phone call being the positive news). That's the information I'm working with until proven otherwise I guess.
Some services literally forget to let the applicant know if they're not moving forward. This is partly blamed on the Human Resource Department lol. With that said, fair enough - Good luck with your process! Its been like a month and a half since I submitted my Personal history form to Peel 88)

edit: Okay, literally got invited to LFA when I wrote this lol.
Haha that's totally possible. Thanks! Good luck with your LFA. If they ask you to do the shuttle run that day make sure you give it your all. If there's a golden opportunity to stand out- it's right there in the gym!

Do you mind if I pm regarding the LFA? Honestly, I can get to level 8, thats my bench mark. I'm training for 9 but when I got to 8, I wanted to just die.

I ran to 9.5 with the flu when i was hired here. You guys better be AT LEAST running to 9. To be competitive you realistically need at least a 9.

This is true. They outright said they are looking for the ones that can hit 9/10 or better. You would be surprised how many were barley able to hit 7-7.5.

I completed my max shuttle run back in August 2019 (I was asked what level i could realistically get to and I said 9 which is what i got in the end). I've been checking my email regularly and i haven't heard anything back. I got email from Toronto saying I got rejected, so I'm assuming my application's still active. Anyone on the same boat? This is my first time going through the application process and any insight would e greatly appreciated! :D

We shouldn't be hiring average people. Anything lower than 8.5 IMO is unacceptable. Wasn't the minimum a 7 with ATS not long ago? How can people show up and only make it to 7 or 7.5? Come on now.

At what point in the process for Toronto did you rejected? And when did you receive the email saying so?

I got the rejection email after Phase 1 (LFI/PBQ). The email said “your application will not be considered further in this process”. It was my first interview with any police agency and I felt my nerves got the best of me. I felt 10x better after my interview with peel which was a week after.
