Whoever has an interview coming up should ask how many officers are needed/required for 2019. How many for what regions as it can be a good way to ensure you choose the right region when prompted too. That way we'll all find out.

When I had my interview back in Oct. 2018, I asked the same question.. They mentioned they need 29; just over 12 for Atlantic Region, 9 for pacific and the rest for central.. but don't quote me on that.

700-ish is also the number that’s been floating around the PAC regarding FTE’s for the whole country. OT in the PAC has been ridiculous and not sustainable. Id like to know who stated the numbers above.
I don’t mind OT haha.

Does anyone know how rare it is to not get an offer after invitation letter? I know I can't make any life altering decisions but I'd like to have an idea of my chances.

It is posted on the website that you can be removed from the program at any time of CTP3. I have a co-worker who was in the BC Sheriff SRT program, failed his firearms test and then was kicked out. All that work for nothing.. So!!! Big smiles, yes sir/maam, do good, and be a team player is how I'd approach CTP 3 :)

Granted, but I was asking if an invitation to CTP 2 + 3 generally indicative of a conditional offer coming your way, or if not receiving anything after that was something that happens on a regular basis.

Yikes, that would be bad considering I'd miss the first month of CTP3 ;)

Thanks Paccx!

Is this 6 on 4 off and 6 on 5 off? as well as another option of 5 on 4 off and 5 on 2 off? If so, what are the times?

Is there overnights? overnight premium?

Thanks again!

yes 6 on 4 off 6 on 5 off.
this is what you will work

days are 0630-1500
16 hour shift is 0630-2230
evening shift is 1400-2230

12 hour guys do overnights. there is a long waitlist for 12 hour spots. being new you wont work overnights unless you get ordered to stay or sign up for OT

Hi, everyone, I am going to apply CSC in the next few days.
I passed their written test in Apr 2017, passed the interview in June 2017 and the psychological assessment test in Aug 2017. I wondered if any of the above successful result(s) may still be valid so I can bypass any of the application stages. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advanced.

I believe exams CSC recognises for 1 year, and the Psych is valid for 2, which means you're probably going to have to redo all of them, but don't quote me on that.

Has everyone who completed the pysch test done a follow up interview? I did my pysch test on March 29th but have yet to do a follow up. Hoping that doesn't mean the worst.
