Background investigators are finally making calls. I got a call from my investigator and also called as a reference for someone else.

Does anybody who completed ATS exam if they have any tips in trying to pass it. I studied for it, thought I did pretty and because they don't give what part you didn't do well, what were some of success tips. It would be greatly appreciated.

Try using policeprep online account. I passed PATI in first attempt and WCT in second attempt.
Thanks

I'm considering starting the application process for OPS. Just a couple questions.

1. Wondering about the uncorrected eyesight test. I am nearsighted, wear glasses, can wear contacts (my preference not to at the moment). My vision hasn't changed much in the last 10 years so I haven't seen an optometrist in that time. Honestly not sure if I can pass the test for uncorrected vision 20/40. Not interested in getting laser eye. Any recommendations to get checked prior to going for the OACP? I spoke with someone whose spouse went through the process in Peel and they really seemed to downplay the uncorrected requirement --- made it seem like it wasn't a big deal and I should be able to pass it. :ponder:

2. Concerns over background credit check. I have no concerns with anything else pertaining to my background. I have a very clean past and lots of character references. Bond-able and work in insurance currently. But, my credit is not great. I got into a bad debt hole over a decade ago with student loans and have been trying to dig myself out ever since. I feel if given the opportunity to explain the situation I can make my case and downplay any concerns over issues of character, but wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation? How did it affect your candidacy?

Thanks

your best option would be to contact OPS recruitment team or go to their info session to ask these questions.
