If you pass the SBSO process you are able to 'fast track' and potentially skip the interview for a permanent position.
I find this surprising since the SBSO process does not interview on all the competencies that the permanent position does.

Anyways, I was unsuccessful at the interview, no idea what I did wrong as there was 0 feedback. Already back in the process for the permanent position, just waiting on interview.

I received an invitation to training finally for Toronto YYZ. How hard is the 5 week training? they said if we pass the 5 week training then we are contracted to work for the summer but conditional depending on us passing the training. Anyone else invited to training in toronto yet next month?
When did you get your medical clearance?
I’m cleared for my security and medical, but I had my medical on the 27th. I’m wondering if I will be getting an offer.. everything’s cleared and good

The only way to find out if you're getting an offer is to wait. There's no way to tell if one gets an offer other than CBSA telling you that you got one.

Hey! I’m in Calgary too. I went in for uniform measurements and had a photo taken of mean the 26th of March. The lady who did everything told me that her collegaue who usually does all this stuff just went on maternity leave and that they received all the student information much later this year than what is normal. She was also telling me that because of how late everything is happening, should couldn’t order uniforms, so she was basically going off of what she had in stock.

It was exciting to try on the vests, I’m hoping we hear back soon!

Any word on what the deal is for boots? Do they supply them or do we buy them and get recompensated?

Yes I'm from Calgary and that's exactly what she said to me too! The one gal just left for vacation or something and the other is on mat leave. She didn't say that they were behind, she actually told me they wanted to order in uniforms and stock up early because last year they were behind. But yes trying the vests on was so cool I felt so professional and it got me so excited lol. Have you received your security and medical clearances yet? I haven't which made me so surprised when I had to go in and get measured but I will take it as a good sign.

I haven't heard anything myself, but from reading posts it sounds like you are responsible for your boots and they give you a list of ones that you can buy.

When I went to pick up my uniform, I got my boots as well. They had a boot truck where we all tried on boots and then chose one that fit best, I didn’t have to pay.

No, I have received my clearance or medical yet, it seems like it taking a little longer than others. Maybe it’s just the prairie region. I know when I spoke to someone they told me the clearance process turnaround had a service standard of 60 days depending on volume, which I’m sure many of us have exceeded! But I’ll take getting measured as a good sign.

Good to know. Yeah it seems like other areas are further ahead. I'm hoping some news comes in this week!

Yeah did you get a letter or email? I got a letter from the clinic that I went to to get the medical done, and all it was was a copy of the paper saying I passed. I still haven't gotten an email from CBSA

I have only got indirect emails regarding my medical. Basically saying everything is done but your security clearance. Waiting game continues.
