Are you told if you passed the psych/sigma and moving on to the next stage? How long is the wait usually?
You won't be told if you pass the psych & sigma testing, you just continue on in the process or receive a deferral letter. How long that can take also varies, it depends on when the next round of final reviews take place and how competitive your file is.
Like Wheels28 said, I also had people in my class that received offers just a few weeks before we started in Orillia.

I know some people who finished the BGI and are just sitting ducks, they were also told the odds are that they will be august class. That's a pretty long wait, but I guess patience is key. 88)

I am curious just because I want to enroll in a course that is offered on Saturdays, in terms of training at PPA and OPC, is it strictly a Monday to Friday schedule? or are weekends thrown in there?

Speaking from the April class from 2018, we had every weekend off. As long as the training process hasn't changed, you should be safe with Saturday courses.

Does anyone know if the background officer calls ex girlfriends from long term relationships? If mine gets called I feel as though she will make stuff up to trash my name just because I ended things with her... Can anyone relate or have similar stories?

They could if they feel there’s need to call them. Don’t worry too much if things she says are untrue. BGIs are police officers they can probably tell if the ex is lying.

My ex was called becuase I had listed her as a previous person I’ve lived with (as per BGI’s request). When he called her he thought he was calling a roommate and then discovered it was an ex. He thought it was impressive I was willing to list an ex girlfriend for him to talk to.

Of course if the relationship ended poorly they’re going to take what they say with a grain of salt. Hopefully if enough time has passed then your ex will still have good things to say about your character. My breakup was bad but it was like 3 years later so she still had good things to say.

It all depends on your BGI. During my background investigation, the investigator only spoke with my current girlfriend; however, a buddy of mine in backgrounds had to list a few of his ex's. As others have said, I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you have any concerns it may be best to tell your BGI before any surprises.

Regarding the posting or detachment option do you provide after completing the interview or before the interview. Couldn't find the information on initial package. Also any tips of how to train get a good score on core strength and run since those are my only weaknesses.

Thank you

Posting preference was provided before the interview so I could complete it and bring it to the interview.

Core and running are simple to improve, do more of each, gradually increasing duration. The gym I used had equipment that supported you on your legs so you could mimic the core endurance test. I’ve found that to use more back muscles than abdomen.

Good luck

Is there anyone who applied in the first week of February and waiting for the LFI invitation?

I applied the second week of January and received my LFI invitation today. So it was close to 3 months which is understandable with the large volume of applicants. I have heard of a number of people who received deferral letters shortly after applying, so if you have not heard anything since receiving your # then your file is still active. Just keep waiting and best of luck!
OPP
Jan 8 - Applied
Jan 11 - File # assigned
April 2 - LFI Invitation
May 7 - LFI

I applied in the first week of February. Received my file # but nothing since. Except for the notifications to hold all fitness logs and hand them over to the recruiter during the LFI. Patiently waiting and improving
