Finally get to post in here. After applying to the RCMP in 2014 and getting deferred at Final Review, and applying to 10+ Ontario agencies in 2017 and not getting a single interview, I can say that I have been hired with Halton as a Police Constable for the May OPC class. Absolute dream come true.

Congrats man. Your story sounds similar to mine. Way to grind it out.

Got my conditional offer (pending OPP security clearance) with GO Transit as a Special Constable (Transit Safety Officer). Starting training next monday. After a great 1.5 years with city bylaw excited to start this. Anyone on here joining me for that?

Congratulations on your persistence guys! Both of you are great role models for the rest of us to never give up!

Met an RCMP guy who got deferred FIVE times! He's 25 years old so must've been a case of several 1-3 year deferrals. He's a part of a religious minority group (Muslim, has the rcmp turban and all). Really breaks the perception that minorities get priority in hiring over others.
What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?

Glad to be able to post here! Conditional Offer TPS!

- Quick question for anyone TPS; Do you have any idea what happens if you are unsuccessful with PIN test? Do they take the conditional offer away? or give you another chance to re-try it.

The PIN test isn't a mandatory pass with TPS, just a mandatory participation. So if you are unsuccessful with the PIN, it doesn't change anything in regards to your offer of employment.

It's probably a good idea to be successful regardless if it's a requirement :)

Got the call yesterday from O.P.P. Not sure if it has hit me yet. Definitely a surreal experience. Anyone off to O.P.C at the beginning of May?
Just got "The Call" on Thursday, looks like I'll be joining you at the end of April!
