Is it safe to say that if you passed your ECI and had your LFI interview right away after, but they didn't tell you that you passed right away that you were unsuccessful? Anyone on these board successfully complete their LFI, but still had to wait for an email to confirm you successfully passed?

For PRU (peeps in cars) it's 7 on 5 off. Days and afternoons are 10s, nights are 8s. Days to afternoons to nights. Days start on Sat with last day on Fri. Afternoons on Thurs w/last day on Wed. Nights on Mon w/last day as Sun.

Other units like PRG, CRU, etc work 8 on 6 off. Days and afternoons only and all tens.

CIB works the old compressed.

Testing of 4 on 5 off 5 on 4 off is being done in outer divisions.
Curious if the new shift testing still involves the same number of platoons and shift hours?

Orientation is generally about 3 weeks prior to OPC, so I would say week of April 8th is a safe bet.

Okay, thanks for the reply. I was thinking it was March because the classes are always stated as being April, August and January.

No. The 11.5/12 hour shift rotation would result in one platoon being dismantled and its staff spread out amongst the other 4.

Shift hours would be very different and based on having the most amount of cars out during peak hours.

It's in testing phase right now, so it's not really something to be concerned about for at least a year. If TPS hires you, unless you get sent to the test division, you'll be on the compressed.

Good point, it seems like I cannot find anything online. Have you received "the" call?

Can anyone confirm if you are able to use examples from last 3 years during the interview?

During my ECI examples had to be based on the last 2 years with the exception being valuing diversity, but during the LFI component I could draw back to the last 3 years.

Hey, everyone,

I recently applied for Toronto Police Service and luckily I passed ECI/LFI interview, had my MMPI2 done, and in-person interview with a psychologist. However, I have not yet been contacted for my background check. If I am not contacted, does that mean I am deemed disqualified?

Does anyone have the similar situation? Thank you ahead for any ideas.

Feb 08, 2019 - In-person interview with a psychologist
Waiting for background check

I’m interested in applying for TPS, but a family member received a pretty serious charge a couple of months ago and it was given by TPS. Other services I applied with still allowed me to move forward, but I’m wondering if Toronto would not because this service is the one that charged him. Could anyone shed insight on this?

It’s more to do with your relationship with said family member than who charged and for what. Is it a relationship that makes it impossible for you to get a security clearance for example. Your BGI will ultimately decide.

Your dad could be a convicted killer but if he doesn’t play a role in your life it’s a non issue.

You can’t choose your family after all.

I completed my written PBQ/LFI February 3rd and haven't heard back. Has anyone received an email or letter regarding their status that completed stage 1 after February?
