Via Rail Police Service

Postby SimTess » Wed Oct 05, 2016 12:00 am

Ladies and Gents,

As any of you seen or apply for the Position of Via rail Police Constable, yeah I know you read that right. Via Rail as its own Police Service, I didn't know either.

With that said I'm interested in the position but can't find much on the Service other then what governs them etc... And that Mr BREAU was sworn in, in 2014 (first and only member that I know of).

Does anyone know more on the Service?

Unarmed from what I read.

I guess they were having issues with information sharing when they were only security.

I find it odd that this job posting isn't on Via's official website though.

They are hiring a few reg. constable and K9. You also need to have been to OPC to be considered. They aren't sending recruits like a regular service would.

Sorry this was from a news article saying the officers are unarmed. I guess they don't have their information correct or aren't armed yet.
