Only personal use allowed for your own laptop. You will be provided an agency laptop for class use. You are forbidden from bringing your own laptops/media devices/phones etc into the classroom facility.

The wifi in dorms/cafeteria is definitely terrible, barely works and you are capped for data use. I used my data plan ($$$) to Skype home as the wifi made it unbearable and too annoying. The other options are the student computer room CBSA PCs with hard wired Internet or the Tim Hortons wifi if you head down for a coffee.

My suggestion - get a good data plan before you go!

Just wondering what your options are if you didn't pass the interview. Is there a way of getting more information on what might have happened besides simply being told what competencies weren't met?

Its pretty daunting to have to wait two years without a thorough explanation

7B

Monday feb 22/2016 Rigaud

so if 7C should be
Monday feb 22/2016 online
Monday march 21/2016 Rigaud

and they send the invita approximately 1 month prior to the online OITP. so next week
it was the same for last year.
So its a guess. BIG GUESS. might be nothing till 2017 who knows !!!!!!!

Here we go ! That's exactly what i think and my predictions :)

OITP 7 intake is suppose to be one of the largest intakes rigaud has seen... So I would expect to see a 7c class at the very least

Why would Rigaud tell you this information ? It seems small to me. last year class had 300 people... I doubt its going to be bigger than that... intake 7A has 18 people

from what I know....

each intake, for example 7A (wave)...most likely will have 4 classes of 18 recruits in each class and 7B also. So, each wave is comprised of almost 72 recruits.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

but at the same point we have been told that CBSA College really only has a capacity for 150 - 200 recruits at a time, that would mean that if you have 4 x 18 = 72 Per wave, you have 144 recruits there as of February. which would mean that May would be the next intake mainly because there is no room left at the inn.

dodo123- The only reason I am posting is because I was once in your shoes... I do not know why or who told you that last years class had 300 people... I was in last years class and we had roughly 90... As per my earlier post take a read... Rigaud is not big.. And my reason for knowing this is because while I was there they were getting ready for the next intake and many of my instructors were doing the online with you guys... I'm not going to say this is going to happen but in my intake I wanna say A had 1 English and 1 French and B had 1 English and 1 French and C had 2 English and 1 French And not all classes were full I think one class even had 10 people.. And for all the alternates out there, I wanna say 3/4 of my class of 18 were alternates going in...

No. There is no way to get further feedback. Thousands upon thousands of applicants mean they just don't have the resources to give individualized "here's where it went wrong for you" sessions. It's unfortunate, but understandable.

Each intake has the capacity for 4 classes. In my time at Rigaud there were only 3 waves staggered by a few weeks to a month apart. I'd say rigaud could accommodate 4 waves of 4 full classes each, which is about 300, if spaced out to accommodate the defensive tactics gyms and firing range schedules, provided the instructor scheduling and other factors work out as well.

Again, impossible to predict what's actually going on there though.
