Halton Regional Police

Postby MVR1983 » Thu Jun 10, 2010 9:44 am

Hi everyone.
Does anyone know if I would have to send a hard copy application even I send the online application? I was reading the online instructions and as to my understanding I think I have to send the hard copy as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You will be notified by e-mail to send a hard copy. That was my experience. Give it a week roughly.

Thanks guys I just received the email to send in the hard copy. I spoke with recruiting and she asked me to go in the office and drop off the application. Is that normal I thought everything was done through emails. Any input is great thanks

Just throwing what's obviously going to be a curveball at you. But MAYBE...JUST MAYBE! you should do what recruiting says to do if you have a hope in hell of getting a shot at a job with them.

Why do you say that. They are not bad at all. The recruiter was so nice and polite.

Basketcase was saying do not question recruiting, just do what they ask.

Anyone gone through the LFI interview with Halton? Any hints for the interview I appreciated.

Its almost been 2 years since a post in this thread.. thought I'd get the ball rolling.. see if anyone has had any new experiences with Halton. Throwing in my hard copies tomorrow and hopefully get to the LFI again. I was invited to one in January but withdrew from the process due to a valid ECI I had with another service, didn't want to risk anything (seeing how they like to do their own)

I was just asked by a recruiter to submit my application this week, followed by mailing in my hard copy, resume, references...etc.
I will let you know when I hear from them.

Sorry for the long wait, within the last month I was invited to a "Personal interview" as they call it on the website, which is basically a LFI & PBQ. I'm scheduled for August 3rd since my ECI penalty expires August 2nd. Ive been through PBQ/LFI/DCI/ECI with Waterloo/Hamilton so I'm not expecting any huge curve balls, just gonna prepare like I did for the others.

Any news on your side thumper?
