Ahh the old good cop bad cop routine..lol

Try searching around as there is a decent amount of info on the YRP application process.

I hear the interviews are today.

It's my understanding (from a current applicant who's going for interviews today) that there's only one round of interviews for the positions this year... and that's today... so for those like myself whose applications are in but never got the call, looks like we're pretty much rejected. Anyone have any information to the contrary?

I don't think there's anything you can do except sit back and wait at this point.

Called YRP up this morning and found out that no more calls will be made, so that means I've been rejected. Congrats yr4842, sounds like you made it.

thanks r3lai
however until the bgi goes through and during the final review i am accepted
i dont think im hired yet

ive never committed a crime, no driving violations, lots and good references, never been charged
and never have problems with anyone at work school or home.

however to my knowledge reading on this forum even if you are 100% okay on the BGI and passed everything
you still can be rejected for the position during the final review.

just for the sake of myself im not going to keep my hopes to high up since they are only hiring 10 this year
...but i wont give up either.

i was wondering if the background investigation is the same extent of that of a full sworn police officer?

well its april 15 and everything is still going smooth i guess
i havent gotten a call by my background investigator yet but a recruiter told me
they only have 2 weeks to do all the background investigations since
they didnt start the interview process until april. im guessing theres probably
about a week and a half left for the background investigations to finish..

however i called for a follow up and felt bad because of how busy the recruiter
was, but was told that i should receive a call shortly. apparently there were only
14 people who gotten into the background investigation phase. knowing that
i feel proud that i was able to accomplish this far even if i dont make it in the final cut.
but certainly wish i will

facebook account and password? wow.. I could understand them asking if you use it and then google searching your name and looking at anything cached/public in the results, but looking at the inside of your account, messages, etc somewhat surprises me.

Hrmm.. no idea on the healthcard as I don't think everything is computer linked/under the government's eye. Maybe they are just looking for the number of times your card number has been accessed at clinics/etc .. make sure your health info is inline with the number of visits to the doctor/clinic? or looking for prescription drug abuse? ;)
