Anyone using 7 mm rem mag for hunting at all?
If so what rounds are you using?

A friend of mine uses that caliber.

He is using the Hornady 162Gr. SST Superformance, I wish I could shoot the same round in my .300 WSM, I used the 180gr. Winchester NoslerAccubond CT.

They run about $55.00/box of 20

What are ya hunting for? He uses that round for both moose and deer, did a great job on a young bull this season.

I'll tell ya... It's way too much gun for groundhogs.

Took a buddy out last year.. He brought his 7mm.
I should have lent him a rifle

But I bet they made pretty pink puffs of mist when he connected though!

Grassy, what did you settle on? I use the Hornady Superformance SST 162 gr for moose in my 7mm Rem Mag. I've got a half box of Superformance SST 139 gr that I picked up for a deer hunt too, but I'm normally bows and shotguns for those guys.
