This is going to be a shit show. Especially since many police services use the 700 as a sniping platform.

It doesn't really have to be a shit show...
Remington is just covering their ass.

I have two 700's that are recalled... neither one has given any problems, but.... easiest thing is to clean the trigger yourself or if that's not enough to let you sleep at night... replace it with s Timmy or other aftermarket part
Or....

Maybe, just maybe it's all bullshit percipitated by people looking for free money

Mine is affected. Doesn't give instructions for Canadian firearms owners yet.

Word from Gravel in Quebec is that they have yet to figure out how they're going to handle it.

Personally. .. I'm not sending my gun anywhere near Quebec..

'Heard from a guy in the industry that those who send their rifles in can expect to wait for up to a year before they get it back.
Hearsay at the moment, but not surprising...

Unless he's a contracted/authorized remington service/warranty guy.... I doubt that'll happen.

They can replace the firearm and pay for the scope to be remounted before I wait a year for them to fix the problem.
