Time for another firefighter joke?

Yeah, fuck 'em. ;)

Indeed.

In consideration of the perils and safety concerns in a post-9/11 world, every fireman will now be equipped with fire arms.

ONe guy was armed with a pistol. Didnt see what kind it was. The other, a younger recruit, wasnt slated for training for a bit.

Good to see and its about time.

Thanks! Unfortunately the moronic wimps who have put together the policy surrounding armed officers are still living in a Hippyville, who think officersr with guns are icky, and that we shouldn't even have them. It's so sad and pathetic that I'm even embarrassed to write an example here. But for the inquisitive mind, I'll give just a wee tidbit: If you are an armed officer and are sitting at your desk for more than 10min. you must remove your pistol lest you frighten some weenie..... 88). Of course, if you walk into an airport you are to disarm immediately, as well. We can have the Brinks and Garda guys walk around armed no problem. Heave forbid federal officers do the same. This agency needs a serious cleansing..starting right from at the top!

:aye:

Finally we have sidearms for the officers that work the D+C tunnel or run into houseing projects!! Now if we could only convince management and the union that we need a proper physical test for the job and we should be on a roll!!!

Of course with the FB standard it will be harder ( not impossible, just harder) to get toursim board and weather officials in places where they can make decisions to make our lives more difficult... Hopefully from now on we can rely mainly on our brethren for that!! :((

If this agency keeps its pres and EVP, we may be OK. Just wait for the other guys in the House of Commons to get back though... things may change though... Anyone else remember the "Uniforms are intimidating and bad for tourism" dude?

Sigh.
