Criminal Code of Canada for PDA?

Postby metallicat » Thu Apr 01, 2004 5:56 pm

Anyone know if there is a program available for a pocket PC that would enable me to view the entire CC? I know another thread just said copy and paste everything onto the device, but I would rather not do that. If possible, a nice program or a well-done file of the entire CC would be awesome. Thanks.

SURE!!! Let me get right on that for ya! :D
There are PDF versions of the CCC out there, most pocket PC's should be able to read a PDF...if not there shouldn't be anything wrong with a word doc saved in .rtf format and it will still have all the formating of the original.
Meh...

Why not go to:
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/C-46/40670.html
and just download the CC? You would not have the Court precedents and judgements, but you would be able to at least carry it with you.

I haven't been able to find a PDF version of the CC yet, still looking.

I actually found the CC on that website yesterday, and am able to view it on the pocket PC easily, the only problem is having that accessible where wireless internet isn't available. The website itself is great, and if I have an internet connection nearby it is perfect.

What you can do is "make available offline" with Internet explorer. This will keep a copy of the website on your local computer and you can then tranfer it to your PDA, and just view via your PDA internet browser.

I tried that, but when I open it, it keeps telling me I have no internet connection, even after I made it available offline. I think you got it right, I just have to figure out how to make it work.

The link worked fine for me. I got the standard pop up window asking me to save the file to the HD, I then downloaded it and opened it up, worked fine.

That is awesome, it is working now...thanks!

I know I am being picky, but with that file, is there any way to click on those links and have it take it right down to that specific section?
