iPod Shuffle FM Transmitter

Postby Z# » Sat Aug 11, 2007 8:20 pm

I'm looking for an FM transmitter for my iPod Shuffle. One that plugs into the cigarette lighter. The Shuffle is the skinny one with the USB port, not the other multi-pronged connection like on the newer iPods. I found a wireless transmitter, but it runs on batteries.

Anyone know if one even exists?? I looked all over, but turned up no such thing.

If you go into the shop of the future, or the other place you can find buys that are the best... :smirk:

You will be looking for the iRiver FM Transmitter... It plugs into your lighter plug, and the jack plugs into your iPod thingy... I only ever used mine to plug into my laptop to play music off the hard drive through the stereo speakers... They are usually found in the section of the store where all the iPod accessories are kept.

This is the one I have...

Ipod FM transmitters are dependent on finding a clear FM frequency, which can be very hard to do in a big city.

:aye:

This particular unit comes with 3 presets (the 3 buttons below the display)... You can usually find a decent selection in the lower end.

I have the same as Wayne, 88.7 has never given me a problem in Southen Ontario/Toronto, and on my road trip to Nova Scotia, it worked almost all the way (We switched to 88.5 at one point in the US).

Factory Direct sells these units for $19.99 with a $10 rebate!
