Possibly the most annoying car "feature"

Postby GoodWitness » Thu Sep 06, 2012 5:15 pm

Anyone else see the ad on TV for Nissan, where they demonstrate the "feature" of a tire pressure sensor that honks the horn when you reach the right pressure? Holy cow that would be annoying. I can see the benefit of a low-pressure sensor, but I'm pretty sure I can fill it on my own.

Almost as annoying as those people who haven't figured out they can change the setting so that the horn doesn't honk when they lock the car and set the alarm.

Feeling curmudgeonly today.

Don't even lie, you can't hear my horn from your house. And if you can when I get home at the time I get home, see somebody about your insomnia!

Meh, with a car like that i'm sure your immediate neighbours can't even hear it.

You don't keep a Corvette in the garage, do you? Then I'd really start to wonder. :smirk:

LOL. I have a take home company truck, so I guess it's technically the wifes rig.

Not to say I don't enjoy driving it every now and again.

Haha yes! I've actually been thinking about this commercial a lot lately and how much I really wanted to vent my anger about it lol.

I usually don't concentrate on the tv, it's usually just on in the background. And this commercial comes on ALLLLLL the time. So all I hear is "Beep... Beep... Beep... Beep" and on and on. It's really freaking annoying.

I finally watched the commercial and realized it's a joke about telling you when to stop.

But I thought it was a commercial about your car constantly honking at you when your tires are low. Seems like kind of a bad marketing approach if you ask me. Who wants to buy a car where they think it's going to constantly beep at you??

I don't know why, but there's been a gazillion Nissan commercials lately and I also hate the noise that they play over their logo at the end.. "Nissan: BLALALALALALALALALAHHHH"
