Andrew Smith, Banner Staff
Police have released the names of two North Perth firefighters killed in a downtown fire on Thursday afternoon.
At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, firefighters were called to a blaze at the Dollar Stop Inc. and shortly after, Raymond Walter, 30, of Listowel, and Kenneth Rae, 56, of Atwood, were reported missing and later found deceased.
Perth County Inspector Steve Porter said Thursday night that the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office has been called in and the investigation continues.

I've seen a lot of deaths on and off duty reported on this forum.
"Its not enough to just talk about it"
Spent almost two hours with her from the time of the accident, until OPP and tow showed up.
Put himself at risk with the black ice conditions at the time, and he wasn't even on duty! He went above and beyond....
Lots of guys I work with are also volunteer firefighters, so this story hits close for a lot of reasons.
RIP, guys, and our family's prayers go out to the families of both men.
