SD has done more crash research than most NTSB facilities though.

I had a long paragraph typed out in response to SD.........but then I thought to myself "Self...you've not once, in your several years of perusing this board, responded to one of SD's ridiculous arguments/posts/anytime she writes anything. So why start now?" I then held down the backspace key for approximately 30 seconds to get rid of everything I typed.

Being that I am in a typing mood and feel I should contribute something.....

You know you could have just highlighted the whole text and deleted it with one stroke of your choice of the delete key or the backspace key rather than holding the key down for 30s.

Just sayin.

Yes, but posts are timed and dated. That way you know the sequence in which they are posted.

Don't worry Wayne, it's worth quoting so it can be replied too, as I would have never seen it being a VanB's 5 step program user. :smirk:

Seat belts/hardware are rated DOT at minimum 22241.0 N 4999.0 lbs force min breaking point ( US DOT), with both lap & shoulder belt worn, system strength decreases by half when only lap belt is worn. Seat belts should also be replaced after a collision, once stretched or stressed they loose safety margin. Lots of things can also limit your restraint system effectiveness. Seat belt damage due to being wet/ frozen, cut, rusted mechanism, rusted car anchor points. The traffic cop that pulls you over for having a rusted out car is doing you more of a favour than you may realize at the time, besides carbon monoxide poisoning, seat belt anchor points are usually right beside where rust sets in for floor boards, brake lines and uni body cage structure.
5000 lb anchor point rating is the same for fall restraint system used by workers at heights

Yeah the replies are. Not the way in which they're read. I read a lot of garbage before deciding to reply.

Yep, being 6' 2" and 255lbs certainly doesn't hurt. I've completely written off two Crown Vics and nearly totalled a third  .

The worse damage I suffered was a gouge in my holster from the centre console when I got T-boned.
