Re: Grey Cup
SMU's embarrassing loss in the Mitchell Bowl ended my football watchin season. Never seen so many turn overs in my life. Players would be hitchhiking back to Hali if I were coach.

Re: Grey Cup
I was predicting Calgary to get to the dance but now I'm gonna have to say the Allouettes. I'll be pulling for the Riders though.
No tickets. Too far away for this guy. I was planning on attending the east finals in Montreal if my Ticats would have made it through. (And they should have...)

Re: Grey Cup
Well had Glenn not over thrown Bruce, and had Bruce caught it (since he prob would have any other day) they would have been in the East final!
And go Riders baby! They'll take it this year!

Re: Grey Cup
Second year in a row I'll be working...in Regina. Last year was a little anticlimactic - was all ready with the crew on the 'green mile', only to be clearing 1/2 hour later.
This year, we might win, either way, I'm going home late....

Riders game day plan:
Bring a 12 pack of pilsner to game. If you don't have a beer in your hand, get the hell off the field.

'Peg cops to patrol Cup
By BOB HOLLIDAY, Winnipeg Sun
Last Updated: November 25, 2010 9:48am
Brian Chrupalo and Ritchie Miller will be up close and personal with the combatants Sunday when the Saskatchewan Roughriders take on the Montreal Alouettes in the Grey Cup game in Edmonton.
The pair of Winnipeg cops will be among the seven-man crew of officials.
Chrupalo will be the line judge while Miller will be the umpire for the 98th edition of Canada’s premier sporting event, he sees a similarity between officiating a football game and his real job as a cop on the mean streets of Winnipeg.
“We have rules to enforce and we get yelled at for doing our jobs,” said Chrupalo. “In both jobs, there can be nothing or we can be super busy.”
Miller was unable to attend the interview. Both officers will leave for Edmonton Thursday to begin preparation for Sunday.
After two years of being a standby official, Chrupalo is ready to take the field.
“I’m very excited but 16 years of police work prepares for a football game,” said Chrupalo, a patrol sergeant in the downtown area.
On game day, Chrupalo will don a pair of sunglasses and his headset to listen to music.
“I don’t want anybody bothering me. I go to my quiet space,” he said.
The pair are not the first Winnipeg police officers to work a Grey Cup, others are former chief Jack Ewatski plus Steve Dolyniuk and Al Bradbury, a Dist. 3 sergeant.
“He told me to take in some of the festivities and let the game happen,” said Chrupalo.
Re: Grey Cup
Whine, whine, whine. It's a CFL conspiracy against the Alouettes. The CFL wants the Riders to win. The hotel is a hellhole

Not a Montreal fan, but I'll cheer for anyone against the Riders.
Speaking of, I shall be doing my cheering from Commonwealth Stadium come Sunday.

How do you spell “princess” in French?
P-r-o-u-l-x. Or possibly B-o-u-l-a-y.
