Surrey Member Reported Killed in MVA

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed that a Surrey RCMP officer has died after his unmarked cruiser collided with a semi-trailer at the intersection of 64th Ave and 148 Street in Surrey, B.C., around 5 a.m. PT Tuesday morning.

Police have not released any details of the incident. but there are unconfirmed reports the officer was pulled from the crumpled wreckage and pronounced dead at Royal Columbian Hospital after the crash.

Traffic in the area has been shut down on 64th Ave between 144 and 152 streets while police investigate the incident.

Police are expected to release more information later Tuesday morning at a news conference

His twin brother and girlfriend work in Burnaby as members , so sad. Rip my brother.
