Hey everyone!

I just got an email to get my Category III health assessment as well as my CDT test. Anyone who has taken these can fill me in on what to expect exactly? Much appreciated! :)
I am in the same boat as you. Booked my CAT III exam. Haven't received anything for CDT yet. Are you an applicant in Ontario?

Hello sir, I would like to know if we need to be prepared for any type of physical exam like PARE or something during medical exam or any other time?
Ma'am will do ;) and yes, you will have to pass the PARE prior to being accepted to OITP and you will have to complete it twice in Rigaud as well. See if there are practice locations in your area if you are concerned - I did it about 3 weeks prior to my actual testing date just so that I was familiar with it and able to practice on the components that I was struggling with.
More to the point for SBSOs. As far as I know there is no physical requirement other than being declared medically fit with the CAT III for the position as a student. That's for the Prairie region, others may vary but I doubt it. You will have to do CDT which is fairly physically demanding, so I would suggest working on your cardio anyway. And like Galadriel said, if you plan on become full fledged, you will have to do the PARE.
Thank you for the detailed explanation. Really appreciate it. Booked my CATIII. Does security check takes place after medical or before?

Probably all being done at the same time. If you've submitted paperwork for security clearances, it's probably already happening. You'll either get an integrity interview, or you won't. Good luck on your CAT III

What exactly do you mean you'll either get an integrity interview or not? So if you do not get an integrity interview does that mean you are no longer being considered? Or that there are no discrepancies with the security forms?

Integrity interview is one of the last stages in your Security Clearance.

Would you be able to get a conditional offer if you have been granted reliability status?

I would recommend talking to recruiting for your answers. I will say this, you need a Secret clearance. Students don't usually get "conditional offers" unless it's for a certain administrative reason I can't go into on here. EMAIL RECRUITMENT FOR THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS

I have my RAIC appointment this week which will be the last thing I need to complete from my end, just waiting for an integrity interview to obtain my security clearance. Are you also applying to be at YVR?
