Has anyone from the GTA region received a LoO or invite to training recently? I'm still waiting to hear back.
I received an invitation to training for the GTA region but I have not received a LoO as of yet, they told me I would receive that the first day of training.

Hey, I just received my invite to training today, I was assigned to work at Outports and Postal Operations District. I was wondering if I would be able to request a change to work at another location if it was possible. And also, it states in the form that a portion is to be filled out by the local management and I don't know what that is, can someone tell me who they mean by Local management.

I just assumed it was CBSA management responsible for choosing the SBSOs for the GTA region. If you just email the form back with all the other parts filled out, they should fill out that part of the form.

Hey! I received my invite to training and I was assigned to work at Outports and Postal Operations District.

Does anyone have more insight and details on what goes on in this location?

Does anyone know if the assignments are ever reconsidered and if I would be able to request a change to work at another location if it was possible. Are there opportunities to try other assignments during the summer?

Also, is training paid?

Hey, congrats! I was also placed at Outports and Postal Operations District. I believe at this location you monitor all the mail coming into Canada and try to seize any drugs or weapons that are prohibited. I believe the assignments are reconsidered because I emailed them a couple of days ago to switch my location over to Pearson International Airport and they just called me and told me that it was a success and I should receive another invite to training shortly, so try your luck!!

Congratulations! My understanding is that training is paid at the rate stated on your letter of offer. Best of luck and see you at training! ;)

Hey I just got granted my secret clearance this week and that was my last step I was waiting on. Does anyone know if they’re still sending out offers for summer 2019 in the GTA?

Hey, yeah they are still sending invites. I was placed at Outports and Postal in the GTA region but I requested to change to Pearson and they called me to let me know that my switch is successful and that they are going to send the invites to Pearson next week!
