Anybody know the CN Police salary? Friend of mine is interested and doesn't have a blue line account.

Don't quote me on it but I believe experienced condtables pay is lower but somewhat close to a reg. member but recruit Constable is way lower. Like 2/3rds of a regular recruit. The only info I can find is for CP Rail and their 1st yr Constables only make $20.90 per hr. I'm assuming CN would follow suit.

Yah I know CP is extremely low but couldn't see anything for CN

Doesn't really matter anyway, these postings are for experienced constables only. Minimum 7 years experience and actual graduation from an approved police college. So laterals would probably start off at max or near to max wage anyway.

Not sure where you saw "experienced only" and minimum 7yrs service because this is what the requirements are.


"The successful applicant will:
-have basic training in police foundation

-preferably have experience as a constable

-possess sound judgment, be autonomous and demonstrate initiative

-possess a strong ability to make tough decisions in a timely manner

-be certified/or be able to certify for First Aid and CPR

-possess a valid drivers' license

-reside within 50km of posting

-knowledge of both official languages is preferable

-The working conditions of this unionized position include frequent travel (preventive patrols) over a large geographical area."

Yes, great for anyone who has police foundations because that's all they're looking for. Must have had a hard time filling the position.
