Just wondering if anyone has received any updates or invitation to testing/interviews?

Blueline is the name of the forum.

A tax/fare collector is not LE.

Give your head a shake.

Ya you're actually wrong. They ENFORCE by-LAW #1 as part of their job description.

Tax collector?? lol, I think you're in the wrong forum, maybe the CRA forum is best for you, yes?

If you look at A.T.R's post counter, he has almost 5,000 posts. Pretty sure he knows what this forum is for and what it's all about.

So, they enforce by-law #1. Do they do anything else? Do they have peace officer or special constable status?

Oh, so if you have a high post-count on a message board, on the internet you know a lot, I see

Not only is it demeaning but it sends a message to any, younger person going through the security field trying to get into ANY further law enforcement of ANY kind. Or just liking the field their in.
You're now saying that if they're not sworn in peace officers they're nothing. Good job.

Fact is, these Transit Personal, Access Control Security Guards, Peace Officers are all Customer Service/Law Enforcement in their own way. Stop basing positions in society over titles, they're meaningless. I help these younger people as much as I can, just because I don't have "5000 internet posts", doesn't make me less qualified.
Let's keep this a positive place shall we.

You keep checking for fares.

I'll keep serving search warrants.

Have a friend in the ttc. Fair inspectors are regular employees that will ensure people that are using the services of the TTC are doing so after they pay. If not, they have the option to contact their TTC Transit Enforcement Officers or police.

Remember the new program they have on the street cars? You can enter through the rear doors?

Good Luck in the process.

TTC Fare Inspectors are Provincial Offenses Officers; they enforce laws, they are law enforcement officers.

ATR, I don't see you making similar jokes about your Parking Enforcement Officer colleagues, or maybe you do, I don't know. It's your right to have an opinion but suggesting that either of them are not LEOs is just factually incorrect. If you're going to joke about them being tax collectors then you could just as easily say the same thing about CBSA and all sorts of different LEOs.

They issue tickets for fare evasion yes, but to suggest that's their only function would be incorrect. Having a dick measuring contest to prove who's the biggest baddest LEO is just childish.
