Getting hired.
When things get bad, I take comfort in knowing they could always be worse.
When things get worse, I take comfort in knowing they can only get better.

Not hired by a PD yet but I haven't been overly stressed about any of the stages so far to be honest.
Hardest part when I got hired by my current agency was just the waiting aspect. Knowing when I should give notice, and trying to get my then employer to allow me the time off to complete each step as it was very fast.

The waiting.
I will NOT respond to PMs from those not belonging to the private side.

Resisting the temptation to come to blue line to ask how smoking weed will affect my pending interview and background checks.

Having applied for civilian positions within a certain Service...
I would say waiting during the background stage, knowing that you have a squeaky clean record... but getting the dreaded "thanks but no thanks" letter in the mail... and having no clue why, and not being able to find out why...

Every part is hard, nothing comes easy. Although, easiest part for me has been the PARE and PREP. Piece of cake.

Double Ditto, getting the gong sucks. But if you really want it, take some time to yourself and try again.

This was tough for me. When the vast majority of my buddies were hired and I was the last one waiting out a spot at Depot. Waiting was hard also. Not knowing what was going on and not having any control over the situation.
