Does anyone know how many recruits Durham hires for each intake?
Impossible to know. In my class, they had only 11 there.

There is information on the DRPS website that outlines their projected hiring numbers for 2020-2022

15-20 based on what I was told during my home visit today.

What did you guys do during the paper session. Just fill out the paper application and talk about the recruitment process?

Thanks.

You essentially build your file. You bring the paperwork they ask and add it to your file, fill out a PBQ and then have a very short interview where the recruiter reviews everything really quickly. Then you wait for a potential LFI/ECI invite.

Congratulations!

1) How long was your process from online application to offer?
2) Any tips for the paperwork session? What questions I may asked while I make my file?
3) How big is your class?

Good Luck to you at OPC.

Thank you sir!

1) Applied November 28th, 2019, got an offer Jan 21st 2020. So roughly two months, if Durham wants you they will make it known and move quickly.

2) Wear a suit, look the best you can. Be friendly, but don't overdo it for the sake of it. Bring everything they ask, put it in the order they ask, ask questions if you don't understand. Usually, you're asked questions about your history when you go do your one-on-one with the recruiter, general stuff and concerns they may have regarding your PBQ. Don't stress about this paperwork session because it was pretty easy going!

3) I was told MAX 20, unsure if that will be reached.

Thanks for this information!

Would you happen to have a timeline from start to finish (approx)? How many people do they typically contact in your background investigation (if known)? I'm in a unique position with regards to the background as I'm a transgender applicant and will need to provide them names/pronouns to be used when they contact individuals.

Best of luck at OPC and thanks again for your anecdotal experience!

Thanks very much! While I'm not expecting anything as I've been unsuccessful in the past, I am always hoping for the best. You chose a great service!

Edit: Apologies, one last question. What is the "PBI"? Panel/Board Interview?

Thanks again!

No worries, hopefully this time will be different for you! :D

PBI was the pre-background interview. They review everything they have up until that point, ask some more questions and decide if they want to move you forward to psych/background. I believe you're supposed to have a final panel interview after background, but that was bypassed for me.

There’s no board interview afterwards
