Happy New Year. The Military Police Application process will be the same as any other occupation with the added Military Police Assessment Centre - This is an assessment process specific to the Military Police to ensure that applicants display competencies appropriate to the Military Police. I takes about 2 days.

This just in - 1 MP Regt - Western Canada (Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria) is accepting applicants (NCM) with the following qualifications:

Grade 12 with the intent of attending Secondary School

Class 5 drivers licence.

Area recruiting centres may not be up to speed yet - so please send your interest to me.

Pls ask you questions via forum as opposed to PM as many of you are asking the same stuff.

Thanks!

Hi all
I have some interest in joining as a ResMP if accepted, but the closet unit to me is the Rocky Mountain Rangers in Prince George BC. Probably not feasible in this area, right? Anyone with info I'd welcome the comments. Thanks

What's the word on Rez MP jobs here in southern Ontario?
If you do not have access to the private side please do not contact me. I do not give employment advice other than what is publicly posted.

How about out of Winnipeg detachment as a reserve member?
Be professional and methodical. Take ownership of the situation. Look, listen and understand what is really being said and you will never have to walk away from an incident wondering if you missed something. Make every contact with the public count.

PM me a contact that works for you and I will put you in touch with Winnipeg; for Southern Ontario you'll need to be more specific, please.

Prince George will be a no-go for a Reserve MP position, unfortunately. Any trade within the Reserve Force will be rewarding, however!

YYJ - you might know something that I do not - unless Class 7N is comparable to Alberta Class 5 - 1 MP Regt is looking for Class 5 - I am not versed in BC's licensing system so please excuse me in advance - At present 1 MP Regt has some authority in terms of exercising its own requirements - I only mention this so that the Waters are not muddied - and to prevent any confusion in the process.

I am always available for questions

Yes - we generally try to recruit from areas significantly closer to the City that the Platoon is located in. It is our experience that difficulties arise due to the extended travel.

... and finally I am only able to comment on the Western Area - Victoria to Winnipeg. The other Regiments work independently of each other in terms of recruiting.
