Thanks HTP - I noticed an opening in BC too - will see if they contact me for this spot - I have some work I need to do physically before I do anything. I just wanted to see if they would proceed to the next step with me or not

The postings don't close until April 21st, so I imagine we won't hear anything until then.

The only problem with Jasper is the housing. The current CN Officer who was stationed there, had to live in the CN Rail Bunk house for a period of +6 months before he was able to find any suitable housing. Even then, he didn't purchase a residence, he was renting, as there are certain credentials one must meet to be able to purchase a property inside a park.
I know some CN constables and they love their gig. While is it less "excitement" than a regular PO, I believe Jasper would be one of the prime postings for a officer. It's a great community, and to look out the office window at that scenery every morning would be phenomenal.

Yeah the scenery appeals to me for sure - would have to get hubby retired before we went tho...

I think jasper would be awesome with the mountains. But i would hate to pay rent or by a house on a cops salary, good luck to you guys. The hiring call is an awesome feeling.

Don't concern yourself with things you can't do anything about. Armchair generals don't win battles, but they do have nervous breakdowns.
