Re: Guelph Police and Waterloo Police
Anyone recently apply to WRPS or GPS?
I see both Services are hiring at the moment...

Yeah applied to Guelph and filling out an application currently for Waterloo. Haven't heard back yet from Guelph and tried to email their recruiter but haven't heard anything.

Hi all
I applied 2 months ago. Got a letter last month that it has been put in the database for a year!

IMO that's a standard letter to confirm that they've received your application. The only letter to worry about is the deferral letter, all the other ones are just normal parts of the process and should be viewed as a positive thing.
So it's all smiles if you didn't get that deferral letter

Oh ok..
Feeling more optimistic now!

Just wondering if it is true that Waterloo finishes most processes for applicants within 2-4 months? This was stated in their FAQ document loaded on their website.
This would be radically different than most Ontario services which proceed slower but create hiring pools. So after a few months, you are either hired or not.

Sorry just to clarify, I meant that as opposed to most services which proceed slowly with the process and create hiring pools, with Waterloo, after a few months, are you either hired or deferred?
Re: Guelph Police and Waterloo Police
Got a letter from Guelph yesterday just stating they received it. Seems strange they dont just email out stuff. Especially because I had emailed the recruiting department about a month before and never received a response.
