Finally get to post in here. After applying to the RCMP in 2014 and getting deferred at Final Review, and applying to 10+ Ontario agencies in 2017 and not getting a single interview, I can say that I have been hired with Halton as a Police Constable for the May OPC class. Absolute dream come true.
Congrats man. Your story sounds similar to mine. Way to grind it out.
Congratulations on your persistence guys! Both of you are great role models for the rest of us to never give up!

Met an RCMP guy who got deferred FIVE times! He's 25 years old so must've been a case of several 1-3 year deferrals. He's a part of a religious minority group (Muslim, has the rcmp turban and all). Really breaks the perception that minorities get priority in hiring over others.

It's been a couple of weeks since I got the offer, but I figured I've been fortunate enough so I should post in this thread.

Received a troop offer from the RCMP for Troop 13 starting July 15th.

It was a long wait, but I'm grateful it took this long. It's given me time to get more life experience, finish post-secondary, get a few certifications under my belt, and grow up more.

Best of luck, and congrats to everybody else that's been given an offer!

Just curious if anyone has been hired for May 2019 Intake Toronto Community Housing. Curious to see how many we are really expecting. Heard its 32 but possibly more.

I was accepted by the RCMP in summer of last year, declined the troop offer at the time due to some health issues with my then unborn child---

I was given the option to defer my troop date until May of this year, during that time I felt it was prudent to seek a municipal job to train locally to not put extra burden on my wife. I was fortunate enough to receive an offer from the NWPD this week to attend the JI starting in May.

Feels amazing, to not have to be away from my family for 6 months, to know where I am working, and to know I am in a great organization where all the members are very close knit, im extremely excited.

It all became real yesterday when I was getting fitted for my Patrol uniform, body armour, and duty belt... Great feeling.

Congratulations!! You must be really excited right now. I have applied for CBSA and RCMP right now, but I prefer the municipal position more, as I have a really stable relationship in here. So I am applying for VPD and NWPD later this month, and hopefully I will be able to train and work locally.
Any tip that you want to share in the process?
