Hired!
I was an applicant with Winnipeg, RCMP, Calgary, and Edmonton, at one point.
I started training last August with Edmonton Police Service, graduated in February and have been on the street from that time having a blast.
All you applicants out there, chase your dreams...It's worth it!!

Like Newbie, Rho2 and RyanV, I too am in my third week at OPC after being hired on by the Waterloo Regional Police Service on April 19, 2004. I started this journey last July with the OPP and after making it to the background phase I was informed in December that all hirings were on hold. After learning the above I applied with Waterloo the first week of December and was hired on. I know the process can be frustrating but if you are the right candidate you will be hired by a service. My last piece of advice is be flexible, and apply to a few services because you do not want to pin all of your hopes on one service.
Good luck,
